Conservative response to heightened security around the Israeli Embassy in London

Chris Philp MP, Shadow Home Secretary, said:

“Britain is proud to be a free and open country, with free speech and open debate a cornerstone of our democracy.

“The relentless intimidation of the Jewish community and attacks on Jewish institutions have absolutely no place in this country.

“Yvette Cooper must set out urgently what steps are being taken to protect the Embassy, its staff, and the surrounding area. The Government must be absolutely clear that those responsible will face the full force of the law.”
