Civil service pensions crisis – PAC publishes follow-up correspondence

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) today publishes four separate pieces of correspondence relating to its ongoing scrutiny of the civil service pensions crisis.

The publication comes as part of the PAC's ongoing inquiry into civil service pensions. Following a July 2025 evidence session, the PAC warned, in an October 2025 report, of the clear risk that Capita would not be ready to take over administration from MyCSP as planned.

Following reports of potentially thousands of recently retired civil servants being left waiting for their pension payments, the PAC has now held two evidence sessions with Capita Public Services (details here and here) to scrutinise progress made in addressing these failures.
