Appointment of Chair of the Legal Services Board: Report publication following pre-appointment hearing

The Justice Committee has published its report following the pre-appointment hearing on Wednesday, 25 March with Monisha Shah, the Government's preferred candidate for Chair of the Legal Services Board (LSB).

The cross-party committee of MPs, chaired by Labour MP Andy Slaughter, concludes that Ms Shah meets the criteria for the position and endorses her appointment.

The LSB Chair leads the Legal Services Board as the independent regulator of legal services in England and Wales.
