Economy Minister Dr has welcomed a
‘Legenderry' visitor campaign celebrating the energy, culture and
unforgettable experiences that make the city stand out.
The campaign supports efforts to increase visitor numbers and
contribute to long‑term economic growth across the wider North
West.
The Minister said: “This campaign supports tourism growth and
strengthens confidence in Derry as a dynamic and welcoming
city. By showcasing what the city has to offer, we are
helping to drive economic activity in the North West and support
wider regeneration ambitions, including the expansion of Ulster
University's Magee campus.”
Developed by Tourism NI to attract visitors from across Northern
Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to Derry, the campaign shines
a spotlight on the city's thriving food scene, buzzing nightlife,
quality accommodation, and unique outdoor activities as well as
its cultural offering, iconic locations and welcoming character.
The activity aligns with wider regeneration ambitions for
Derry~Londonderry, including the expansion of Ulster University's
Magee campus, recognising the importance of a vibrant city
environment in supporting investment, opportunity and sustainable
growth.
