Conservative response to High Court ruling on Palestine Action

Chris Philp MP, Shadow Home Secretary, said:

“Palestine Action repeatedly invades secure sites, sabotages military aircraft, attacks police officers and causes millions in criminal damage. It is organised political violence and cannot be tolerated.

“Palestine Action's campaign is built on intimidation, destruction, and violence. The public expect the law to protect them.

“Conservatives welcome the Home Office's appeal to this ruling. There can be no hesitation when public safety and national security are at stake.”

Dame Priti Patel MP, Shadow Foreign Secretary, said:

“Palestine Action broke into an RAF base and vandalised aircraft. They invaded a private company's premises and broke a police officer's back. These are incredibly serious crimes and they warrant a full and robust response.

“It is time to tighten up the rules on the proscription of such groups to ensure they cannot get away with such disgraceful behaviour. The rule of law must be defended.”
