On Wednesday 5 November, the House of Lords Financial Services
  Regulation Committee will hear evidence from two panels of
  witnesses.
  At 10.10am the committee will hear from:
  - Charlie Nunn, Group Chief Executive of Lloyds Banking Group
  
 
  - Robert Begbie, Chief Executive Officer of NatWest Commercial
  and Institutional, NatWest Group.
  
 
  At 11.15am the committee will hear from:
  - Nathanaƫl Benjamin, Executive Director for Financial
  Stability Strategy and Risk at the Bank of England.
  
 
  This evidence session, which is open to the public, will be held
  in Committee Room 2 of the House of Lords and streamed live and
  on demand on Parliament TV.
  This session is part of the committee's inquiry into the growth
  of private markets in the UK following reforms introduced after
  2008. The committee will look at:
  - The impact of higher bank capital and liquidity requirements
  on different types of lending.
  
 
  - The implications of the changes in lending patterns on the
  role of banks as deposit takers and payment intermediaries.
  
 
  - The banks' perspective on the interconnections with private
  credit and private equity and the extent to which banks lend to
  these funds.
  
 
  - The Bank of England's views about these interconnections.
  
 
  - The way banks transfer risk from loans they originate through
  securitised loan products such as Collateralised Loan Obligations
  (CLOs).
