NAO's 'Home to school transport' report: Campaign for Better Transport reacts

Responding to the National Audit Office's report, 'Home to school transport', Silviya Barrett of Campaign for Better Transport said:

"Many eligible children and their families would struggle to access the education they require without good home-to-school transport, so it is important that the system serves their needs. Local authorities need the right support and funding to enable this. The ongoing devolution process provides an opportunity to create a system where local authorities can coordinate transport more efficiently, including school services and regular public buses. Improving local transport generally can make a big difference, enabling more young people to travel independently and realise their potential."
