Written statement (Wales) on Supporting the Future NHS Wales Workforce: Launch of the NHS Wales Bursary consultation - Oct 31

Jeremy Miles, MS, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Services: Our NHS workforce is the heart of healthcare in Wales. Earlier this year, we announced a £294 million investment in training and education—supporting the next generation of nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, dentists, and doctors.

The NHS Wales Bursary remains central to this support. We are exploring how to better support students and encourage careers in Wales.

To do this, we need your input.

Whether you're a student, educator, NHS employer, professional body, or bursary graduate, your views are vital. The 12-week NHS Wales Bursary consultation is your opportunity to help shape the future of the bursary—and the future NHS Wales workforce.
