session of its inquiry into medicine supply issues in England.
The Committee will hear from public officials with a view to
gaining insight into the Government's view of medicine security,
supply chain issues, and efforts to reshore or nearshore
medicines. The session will also consider current and upcoming
policy to address medicine supply issues.
The session will start at 11:00am and can be watched live
or on demand at Parliament
TV or attend in person in Committee Room 2, Palace
of Westminster.

and Strategy, NHS England;

and Medicines, Department of Health and Social Care; and
-
Andrew Howard, Deputy Director of
Manufacturing, Skills and Partnership Delivery, Office for Life
Science.
Questions will include:

and what information on supply issues and their impact are
available? How does the Government effectively use this
information?
- Where does responsibility sit within Government for ensuring
the long-term sustainability and security of medicine supply and
how is this coordinated?
- What steps are the Government taking to improve the
resilience of the UK's medicine supply chains?
- What medicines manufacturing capacity should the UK have?
