National Audit Office: Overview of the Home Office 2024-25

The Home Office states that its vision is for a safer, fairer and more prosperous United Kingdom.

In the financial year 2024-25, the Home Office spent a total of £27.8 billion and received an income of £7.3 billion. Most of its spending was within the Public Safety Group, which includes the police service.

In 2024-25, the Home Office spent £0.36 billion (1%) more than the previous year. However, total income increased by £1.4 billion (25%) between 2023-24 and 2024-25, while net expenditure (£20.5 billion) was a net £1.1 billion less than the previous year.
