Conservative response to UK car manufacturing hit its lowest level since 1953

Richard Holden MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Transport, said:

“Sir Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves have driven Britain's car industry into a brick wall.

“This is the direct result of a Labour Government that's hostile to business, clueless on trade, and utterly detached from the real economy.

“The Conservatives are the only party on the side of Britain's makers and will show that a better future is possible by backing them to create wealth and jobs.”
