Prospect welcomes Sizewell C Final Investment Decision

Prospect trade union, which represents tens of thousands of nuclear workers across the UK, has welcomed the announcement of the Final Investment Decision for the Sizewell C nuclear power station.

Prospect Senior Deputy General Secretary Sue Ferns OBE said:

“This is a vital next step to progressing Sizewell C.

“This will be one of the most important engineering projects of the next decade, delivering thousands of high-quality jobs.

“At the same time, it will provide millions of homes and industrial customers with always on low carbon power.

“There is now real momentum behind UK nuclear, the government, employers and workers must now work together to press on with rolling out this vital technology.”
