Science Minister Lord Vallance to be questioned on financing and scaling UK Science and Technology

At 10am on Tuesday 15 July Lord Vallance, Minister of State for Science, Research and Innovation will appear in front of the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee for the final evidence session of its inquiry, Financing and Scaling UK Science and Technology: Innovation, Investment, Industry.    

The evidence session will take place in Committee Room 3, Palace of Westminster and will be available to watch live or on demand on Parliamentlive.tv.    

Questions are expected to be on topics including:  

• Financing and Scaling UK Science and Technology Companies 

• The Role of DSIT in the Industrial Strategy 

• Mansion House reforms and unlocking private sector finance  

• Public procurement in supporting technology companies to scale 

• Cross-government coordination 

• Identifying high-potential science and technology companies  

• The non-financial barriers to scaling, including visas, regulation, networks and moonshots 

• Companies going overseas
