Ministers to be quizzed by Lords Committee on UK Space policy

Ministers will appear before a cross-party Lords Committee on Monday June 30 to answer questions about the Government's Space policy, the skills required for the UK's Space industry and the sector's role in the economy. 

The latest evidence session of the Lords UK Engagement with Space Committee will take place from 3.30pm in Committee Room 2, Palace of Westminster, and can be watched live, or later, here on Parliament TV. 

The Committee will publish its full report to Government in the autumn. 

Questions are likely to focus on: 

• The UK's international leadership and its relationships in the Space sector 

• Government funding for Space 

• The impact of immigration policy on recruiting talent for the UK space sector 

The Committee will hear from: 

• Sir Chris Bryant MP, Minister of State for Data Protection and Telecoms at Department for Science, Innovation and Technology 

• Annelies Look, Director, Space at Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) 

Sir Chris Bryant is minister with responsibility for space sector growth, and Annelies Look, of DSIT, is also UKSA's deputy CEO and chief delivery officer where she is jointly responsible for the delivery of UK Space Agency's national space programmes.
