Lib Dem MP to present Chalk Streams (Sewerage Investment) Bill today

Liberal Democrat Deputy Leader Daisy Cooper will present a private bill in Parliament today. This will constitute its "first reading" and a date will be given for second reading, which will be a Friday. Due to lack of parliamentary time, the bill is unlikely to make any further progress.

Bill to require water companies to prioritise areas with chalk streams and related habitats when investing in new and upgraded sewerage systems, including foul water leak prevention and the replacement or upgrading of porous sewage pipelines; and for connected purposes.
