Economy Minister has announced a third Risk and
Regulatory Compliance Assured Skills Academy with EY, providing
20 high quality training places.
Funded by the Department for the Economy, the Risk and Regulatory
Compliance Academy is a six-week intensive training programme
designed to deliver industry focused training to equip
participants with the transferable skills to help them compete
for job vacancies in the sector.
Participants who successfully complete the academy, which will be
a blend of onsite and online learning delivered by Belfast Met,
will be guaranteed an interview with EY.
Encouraging eligible individuals to apply, the Minister said:

individuals who meet the eligibility criteria.

change in career, the Risk & Regulatory Compliance Academy
with EY is an exciting and industry-leading training course that
will set you up for success in the world of risk and compliance.”

employment opportunities, the Academy Programme provides
accredited and recognised training that equips individuals with
new skills. Once participants graduate, they are invited to
interview for positions within our growing teams at EY. This is
EY Northern Ireland's sixth Academy in 12 months and we have
already welcomed a number of outstanding individuals from the
Academies who are successfully supporting our clients across NI.”
Successful applicants will acquire much sought-after skills in
areas such as MS Excel including creating and managing workbooks,
manipulating data, representing data visually and using formulas
and functions. In addition there will be the opportunity to gain
a certification as a Microsoft Office Specialist, Excel
Associate.
Siobhan Lyons, interim Director of Development and Partnerships
at Belfast Met said: “Belfast Met has a long and successful track
record in delivering Assured Skills academies and we are
delighted to be partnering with EY once again.
“This course will build on the work of the previous two academies
in helping to meet the demand for skills in risk and regulatory
compliance while simultaneously opening up fantastic
opportunities for participants.”
Experience is not required but you must:
- be at least 18 or over
- hold an honours degree in any subject
- be eligible to work in the UK
- have appropriate IT access to link to the online tuition.
Although not essential, as EY work with global clients, it would
be desirable that candidates are proficient in a second language,
with a specific focus on the following:
- French
- German
- Italian
- Portuguese
- Spanish
- Arabic
- Russian
- Vietnamese
Training will commence on Monday 10 February and finish on Friday
21 March 2025. Applicants must be available to attend full
time, in person for the duration of the training period.
Participants are entitled to a training allowance of £175 per
week and eligible travel and childcare expenses during the
training.
Applications for the Risk and Regulatory Compliance Assured
Skills Academy are open until noon on Monday 6 January 2025.
