NFER blog -  Fewer pupils, more unfilled places, increasing deficits: What can be done?

The final blog in a three-part series by NFER on pupil projections in England has been published today (Thursday 10^th October).

This blog looks at how schools, local authorities, trusts and the Government are responding to falling pupil numbers. It also offers possible options about what can be done to tackle the impact of falling numbers including for schools to reduce costs where possible and the possibility of Government increasing per-pupil funding faster than inflation.
