Advice on decarbonising the power sector by 2030

Letter from SoS and Chris Stark requesting practical advice on achieving clean power by 2030 for Great Britain (23 August 2024)

The Secretary of State for Energy and Net Zero and Chris Stark have written to Fintan Slye, Director of the Electricity System Operator, requesting independent advice from NESO on the pathway towards the 2030 ambition, with expert analysis of the location and type of new investment and infrastructure needed to deliver it.

Chris Stark has been appointed to lead control centre tasked with delivering clean power mission by 2030.
