Response to the 2021 annual report on the operation of the terrorism acts by the Independent Reviewer of Terrorism Legislation (print)

This is the government’s response to The Terrorism Acts in 2021, a report by Jonathan Hall KC, the Independent Reviewer of Terrorism Legislation (IRTL).

The Independent Reviewer is responsible for monitoring the operation of UK counter-terrorism legislation to assess its fairness, effectiveness, and proportionality.

The government response addresses the following topics that were covered in the report:
