Section 31 grant determination 2024 to 2025: rough sleeping funding

Details

This grant supports the delivery of the government’s rough sleeping strategy. It allows local authorities to employ one or more specialist personal advisers to support a small caseload of 5 to 10 care leavers.

Since 2018 to 2019, the Department for Education has provided £11.3m funding to specific local authorities (LAs) across England as a contribution to the cross-government Rough Sleeping Strategy. In 2023 funding of £3.2m annually for 56 LA sites in the financial years 2023 to 2024 and 2024 to 2025 was agreed.
