TfL settlement ‘keeps London on a short lease’, says transport charity

Responding to the Transport for London funding settlement announced today (18 December), Ben Curtis, from charity Campaign for Better Transport, said:

“We welcome the provision of cash for the capital’s transport network which we had previously written to the Transport Secretary about. Whilst this settlement will ensure the wheels keep turning, it is not helpful to the general economy of the country to keep London on such a short leash.”
