Nick Thomas-Symonds responds to evidence emerging from the UK COVID-19 inquiry

Nick Thomas-Symonds, Labour's Shadow Minister Without Portfolio (Cabinet Office),responding to evidence emerging from today’s Covid-19 Inquiry, said:

“Families who lost loved ones will be shocked and appalled that during the pandemic Ministers were willing to put older people’s lives at risk, yet many of those sat around the cabinet table are still there today. Ever more evidence emerges from the Covid Inquiry exposing a Government that is chaotic, callous and dangerously out of its depth. 

“This shows, yet again that the Conservative Party is unfit for office. Little wonder the current Prime Minister, who was at the heart of this mess as the Chancellor, continues to fail so badly. Our country desperately needs change that only Labour can deliver.”
