Round-up of stakeholder changes and appointments

The following appointments and changes have been made in the past month

Government changes

• Jacob Young MP was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities following the resignation for health reasons of Dehenna Davison
• Gagan Mohindra MP was appointed as an Assistant Government Whip.

Conservative Party 

• Chris Pincher, MP for Tamworth, resigned on September 7. (By-elections at Tamworth and Mid-Bedfordshire will take place on October 19. The Rutherglen and Hamilton West by-elections take place on October 5).

Labour Party

• Keir Starmer announced a major reshuffle on September 5. Full details can be found on the website. 

Commons Select Committees 

• Business and Trade - Douglas Chapman replaced Alan Brown
• Defence - Tobias Ellwood resigned as chairman; Martin Docherty-Hughes replaced Dave Doogan
• Foreign Affairs - Brendan O'Hara replaced Drew HendryHealth and Social Care - Amy Callaghan replaced Martyn Day
• Justice - Chris Stephens replaced Stuart C McDonald
• Procedure - Kirsty Blackman replaced Owen Thompson
• Treasury - Drew Hendry replaced Douglas Chapman
• Women and Equalities - Kirsten Oswald replaced Anum Qaisar
• Scottish Affairs - Alan Brown and Anum Qaisar replaced Deidre Brock and Dr Philippa Whitford

House of Lords 

• Lord Brougham and Vaux died on 27 August
• Lord Haworth died on 28 August

Other

Amber de Botton resigned as Rishi Sunak’s Director of Communications and has been replaced by the PM's Press Secretary, Nerissa Chesterfield
