Which? response to Kantar food inflation figures

Sue Davies, Which? Head of Food Policy, said:

"Food inflation slowing slightly but remaining at a high level will be cold-comfort to households that are struggling with their food bills.

"Recent Which? research found that consumers are as worried about food prices as they are energy costs and that trust in supermarkets has fallen to its lowest level in more than a decade.

"Supermarkets need to step up and do more to help their customers. They must make sure their pricing is clear so people can easily work out which items offer value for money and ensure everyone has access to affordable, healthy food - particularly in areas where people most need support."
