Government to announce measures to speed up the infrastructure planning process

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities will tomorrow (Tuesday) announce several measures to speed up the infrastructure planning process.

This includes a consultation on proposals to improve the Planning Inspectorate process for large infrastructure projects, introducing fast-track consenting, and reducing duplicative consultation requirements.

The Minister for Local Government will be hosting a roundtable in No10 with key experts later in the day.
