Home Office Counting Rules 2022/2023

Details

The Home Office Counting Rules provide a national standard for the recording and counting of ‘notifiable’ offences recorded by police forces in England and Wales (known as ‘recorded crime’).

The document gives a breakdown of offences contained in each category and an explanation of how they are classified. There are also summary documents of the changes made in April and July 2022.
