  Detail of outcome
This report is a summary of responses received and the
  government’s response to the consultation.
Following consideration of responses, we have:
  - improved the ‘access for education and training providers’
  section of the statutory careers
guidance by shortening it and using links

  - continued to work with The Careers and Enterprise Company to
inform our support for schools and providers

Original consultation
Summary
We’d like your views on proposed changes to the statutory
guidance for schools on access to education and training
  providers.
This consultation was held on another
  website.
  This consultation ran from
  10am on 20 June 2022 to 5pm on 25 July 2022
  Consultation description
  Through the Skills and
Post-16 Education Act 2022, we are strengthening the
statutory requirement for schools to provide opportunities for
providers of technical education and apprenticeships to talk to
pupils in years 8 to 13 to discuss their education and training
  options.
We’re seeking views on proposed revisions to the
  statutory careers
guidance that underpins this legal duty. The guidance
  explains:
  - the changes to the law

  - what schools must do to comply

  - the support available to help schools to deliver high quality
  provider encounters for young people
