Mr Darren Welch has been appointed His Majesty’s Ambassador to
the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Permanent
Representative to the African Union in succession to Dr Alastair
McPhail CMG OBE who will be transferring to another Diplomatic
Service appointment. Mr Welch will take up his appointment during
January 2023.
