Case information
On Saturday 11 June 2022, the Secretary of State for Business,
Energy and Industrial Strategy wrote to the Competition and
Markets Authority (CMA) requesting that it conduct an urgent
review of competition in the fuel market, and to provide advice
to the UK Government on steps that might be taken to improve
outcomes for consumers across the UK.
Personal data
The CMA may collect, use and share personal data for its
investigations, including investigations under the Competition
Act 1998. This includes processing personal data for the purposes
of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection
