Angela Rayner MP, Labour's Deputy Leader, responding to the Prime Minister refusing to rule out whether he asked Sue Gray to cancel the publication of her report, said:

“The Prime Minister has refused to admit whether he put pressure on Sue Gray to bury her report and prevent the damning reality she has exposed of his toxic Downing Street regime from seeing the light of day.

“He has sought to undermine and discredit Sue Gray. There is nothing he won’t do in his desperate attempts to save his own skin.”
