Labour reacts to MaPS data that reveals that nearly a third of people have low financial wellbeing

Rachel Reeves MP, Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, reacting to data published by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) which reveals that nearly a third of people have low financial wellbeing, said:

“With prices rising, a Tory cost of living crisis is leaving people worried about how to make ends meet.

“Labour wants to stop bills going up.

“That’s why our plan would give families security by taking fully-funded measures to save most households around £200 or more.

“We’d also target extra support on top of that for the squeezed middle, pensioners and lowest earners – saving them up to £600 off their bills in total."
