Lib Dems: Gavin Williamson's end of year school report is in

Reacting to today's Ministerial Statement on awarding qualifications in 2021 and 2022, Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Education Daisy Cooper MP said:

"The 'pingdemic' chaos has ruined the end of term for millions of pupils, parents and teachers. Parents are at their wits end worrying that their children have lost out on learning and end of term occasions, whilst once again being called upon to juggle jobs with home-schooling kids that should be in school.

"With the Government now refusing to guarantee that they will be able to keep schools open safely from September and 2022 exam plans still up in the air, parents will be fuming that this Government cares so little for their childrens’ futures.

"It’s simply incomprehensible that the Government has sat on its hands whilst a million children are out of school as term ends. It’s hard to decide whether to grade Gavin Williamson’s work as an F for fail, or a U for unforgivable.”
