Ed Miliband responds to the Business Secretary's admission that the Heat and Buildings Strategy still has no date for publication

"We desperately need a plan to change the way we heat millions of homes in our country, with emissions from buildings higher now than they were in 2015. This is absolutely crucial for meeting our climate targets.

"Rather than show the leadership needed, the Business Secretary delayed the promised Heat and Buildings Strategy and axed the vital Green Homes Grant scheme. It's extremely worrying that he can't even tell us when the strategy will be published.

"We are in a decisive decade for the climate emergency yet the Business Secretary is not stepping up - either delaying decisions, or making the wrong ones."
