Pat McFadden responds to Boris Johnson’s comments on tax and defence at Prime Minister’s Questions

“It’s simply astonishing for the Prime Minister to claim this Government is low tax when they're forcing through tax rises for working families in just a few weeks' time.

“It’s equally incredible to talk up the Government’s record on defence when they’re cutting our army to its smallest size in 165 years.

“As always with this Prime Minister and this Government, the rhetoric is a million miles from the reality.”
