Ed Miliband responds to Industrial Strategy Council’s Annual Report

Ed Miliband MP, Labour’s Shadow Business Secretary, responding to the Industrial Strategy Council’s Annual Report, said:

"The Industrial Strategy Council's assessment is stark - the Government does not yet have a practical roadmap to meet its climate targets and the Government must 'comprehensively reorient' its approach to addressing regional inequalities if it is to be successful.

"But rather than listen to the advice of the council and fix these issues, the Government has disbanded it altogether. The Government's failure to listen and aversion to working in partnership with industry will have consequences for the climate emergency, the future of our industries, and communities across the country."
