The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for International
Trade (
): I do not doubt the hon. Gentleman’s
passion for this issue, but where is the passion for jobs, where is
the passion for exports, and where is the passion for investment?
That is what this Government are getting on with. Perhaps it is
because they cannot make up their minds on the Opposition Benches:
they are against deals with democracies such as Israel as well, and yet they have
cosied up to regimes such as Venezuela. Although this question was
about future trade deals, we will get on and deliver jobs and
prosperity for the British people.
