Preet Kaur Gill responds to Charity Commission report on Oxfam GB’s progress on safeguarding

“While the Charity Commission rightly highlights the positive steps Oxfam have taken to address serious safeguarding concerns and failures, Labour welcomes the commitment from the organisation to treat this as one further step on a longer safeguarding journey.

“This moment must serve as a wakeup call to the government to ensure all those who receive UK aid have the right safeguarding practices in place to deliver real and meaningful cultural change and end exploitation and abuse.”
