Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee: Evidence session on homelessness and rough sleeping with housing charities and people who have experienced homelessness

The Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee continues its inquiry into the Covid-19 pandemic on homelessness and the private rented sector on Thursday 17 December when it takes evidence from homelessness charities and individuals who have experienced rough sleeping or precarious housing during the health crisis.

The session will focus on the challenges homelessness charities have faced in assisting individuals in precarious housing or rough sleeping and the quality of Government support during the Covid-19 pandemic. It will examine the challenges local authorities face in helping those with no recourse to public funds. The Committee will also hear the first-hand experiences of individuals who have been accessing these services and consider what more can be done to support them in the long term.
