Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee: Evidence session on Covid-19 data and the leisure and retail sectors – RFU, British Beer & Pub Association and British Independent Retailers Association to give evidence

The Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee continues its inquiry into data transparency and accountability during the Covid-19 pandemic on Wednesday 16 December when it takes evidence from representatives of the leisure and entertainment industry including the Rugby Football Union and British Beer & Pub Association.

The session will examine the impact of Covid-19 on the arts, hospitality, retail and sport. It will examine how well the Government has communicated with organisations and businesses working in these sectors, to understand how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected them and how support can be designed to address the specific challenges they face. It will also consider how well Government decisions have been backed up by data, and how well this has fed in to strategies of financial support.
