Ed Miliband responds to BiFab entering administration

"This is a symbol of the failure of the UK and Scottish governments, and deeply worrying for BiFab workers, their families, and the local communities that are rightly proud of this historic firm.

"Despite their promises, the SNP and the Conservatives have repeatedly failed to protect and promote green jobs in Scotland, and they have kept workers in the dark throughout.

“The result is that parts for the next generation of wind turbines, located just miles from yards like BiFab's, are being produced overseas.

"Labour has called for immediate investment in a green economic recovery so that the low-carbon infrastructure we need is built in Britain to deliver secure jobs in the industries of the future, tackle the climate emergency and back British industry."
