Next week, the House of Lords EU Security and Justice Committee
will discuss the future of defence policy collaboration between the
UK and EU, once the transition period ends on 31 December.
The evidence session will start at
9:45am on Tuesday 1 December and can be watched
live on Parliament
TV.
Topics will include questions on the UK’s
future influence on EU policy as a third country, to the effects
that the election of Biden could have on the UK defence
landscape, hearing from defence Minister .
The evidence session is a follow-up to
the Committee’s meeting with experts in September, where they
heard that the UK’s key role in EU defence would diminish,
although close cooperation is still
achievable.
