The COVID-19 coronavirus lockdowns have led to a rise in consumer spending online. 87% of UK consumers are estimated to have purchased a product online, and the public spends around £2bn a week on online purchases. There are, however, concerns that the sharp increase in online consumer spending is also leading to a rise in consumer complaints.
