Jess Phillips MP, Shadow Minister for Domestic Violence and
Safeguarding, commenting on the impact of a second coronavirus
lockdown, said: “For victims of domestic abuse, including children,
a second lockdown means weeks of being trapped at home with an
abuser. “In the spring, the Government’s response to the huge
increase in reports of domestic abuse was too little and too late.
