Scottish health secretary to be questioned by Commons Committee on coronavirus

The Scottish Affairs Committee will take evidence from Scottish health secretary, Jeane Freeman, in the third session of its Coronavirus and Scotland Inquiry.

The session is likely to address;

·        Current updates on coronavirus in Scotland; 

·        The effectiveness of the four-nations approach and the structures that facilitate inter-governmental relations;

·        Divergence in policy between the UK and Scottish Government, particularly, as they ease lockdowns; 

·        Managing the pandemic in border areas; and

·        The impact on the Scottish economy.
