ahead of us. However, we can build something new—something better.
One example is the environment that we see around us. We are living
today with a cleaner environment in many parts of the world,
including in our own country, than we were six weeks ago, because
we are operating differently. The level of pollution that we are
creating from motor vehicles is different, and there are some
extraordinary signs of that. In California, people are seeing the
cleanest air in several generations. I have seen similar pictures
of Delhi—I have been in Delhi
several times and my perpetual memory of Delhi is
of dust and smog. It is the same in Beijing. People can now see the
horizon in those cities...
