John McDonnell responds to interest rates cut

John McDonnell MP, Labour’s Shadow Chancellor, commenting on the cut to interest rates, said: 

"I welcome the expected Bank of England cut to interest rates and the measures to encourage bank lending, but we now need firm and sufficient support from the Government for all those having to self-isolate, many of whom do not have access to statutory sick pay."
