reasonable asks was on homelessness. The draft budget makes £50
million available for the ending homelessness together fund, but as
the Salvation Army pointed out last week, Scottish
councils have submitted proposals for spending on homelessness that
would cost £130 million. We asked for a rather modest £10 million
extra. Even though that was a modest ask, sadly, the cabinet
