Margaret Greenwood responds to latest ONS employment figures

Margaret Greenwood MP, Labour’s Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary,responding to latest employment figures from the ONS, said:

“With average pay growth slowing and the level of self-employment reaching an all-time high, long hours in low paid, insecure work has become the reality for many under successive Tory governments.

“The government should ban zero-hour contracts and introduce a genuine living wage to ensure a fair deal at work.”
