plans to transform our economy and society, including plans to
tackle the climate emergency and create a Green Industrial
Revolution, and put power in the hands of the many, not just the
wealthy few.
Labour party members were emailed this week and within a
few hours all of the hundreds of tickets available had
gone.
Ahead of the event, , Labour’s Shadow Education
Secretary, said:
“This election is a chance to deliver the real change
Britain needs and for you to help shape our country for a
generation. With one week to go, it’s too important to leave
politics to other people.
“The last decade has seen wealth and power transferred into
the hands of a privileged few, supported by the Conservatives, at
the expense of the vast majority of people. It’s time to take on
the vested interests holding people back.
“I’m excited to be in Birmingham tonight to bring our
message of hope that Labour will build a fairer, more equal
Britain that cares for everyone and where wealth and power are
shared.”
