Crime – big questions for the Mayor

At 890,233 - the number of notifiable offences over the year to the end of August 2019 increased by 7.1 per cent, compared to the previous twelve months. [1]

This is despite the fact that crime in London remains lower than a decade ago.

Tomorrow, the London Assembly will question:

·         Sadiq Khan - Mayor of London

·         Dame Cressida Dick DBE QPM - Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis

Various London policing matters will be discussed, including:

• Challenges over the next year
• Recent lessons learnt
• Policing support for human rights

Following this, Assembly Members will submit motions on various topics.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, 31 October from 10:00am in The Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
